DOUG
- drums, vocals
|

I |
A San Diego native, Doug recalls many
transcendent moments listening to Top 40 radio songs in the 50's and 60's:
the years of early rock, oldies, Beach Boys, Stax, Motown, and the British
Invasion. As a surfer inspired by early Beach Boys music, Doug took guitar
lessons from the soon-to-be guitarist of Iron Butterfly until he attended a
party where a drum kit was set up. It was then that Doug discovered his
fondness and knack for drumming.
Doug went on to play drums in a local
dance band for 10 years. In addition to drums, Doug also plays guitar and is
an accomplished songwriter. One of his songs,
"Native Stranger" was selected to be on the 1979
Homegrown album. |
